Margot is the creator and hostess of Hestia's Hideaway.

She created the B&B for a number of reasons, but the inspiration was one: a love for Greece. She wants people to explore the beauties of the land that became her home away from home for the past three decades.

Through Margot's adventures in Greece, not only Hestia's Hideaway was born, but so were a number of books and other publications. She is a colorful and skillful writer, with a hint of feel-good comedy.

Margot also teaches Greek and Dutch

and helps kids with their language and homework.

By now, Margot has worked with language

in any way imaginable,

from clever daily language memes

to official translations for major organizations.

Margot loves working with people. She has diverse experience, from working with people looking for their birth parents in remote Greek villages, to collaborating with embassies in Athens. This love for people and for hospitality and language has led her to also serve as a board member of the Dutch Association in Greece.
